OBASANJO ENDORSES TERRORS OF WAR
The promotion of Terrors of War, an autobiography on the Nigerian Civil War written by ace film producer, Paul Nnamdi Agbakoba took a giant leap, Monday, as the erstwhile President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo hosted the author at a breakfast meeting in his Abeokuta, Ogun state residence.
Obasanjo, a major actor in the 30- month civil war could not hide his excitement as the author read to his hearing the chapter that bore on his exploits as commander of the Third Marine Commando. He later described Agbakoba’s effort as “a display of academic ad spiritual brilliance.
According to Agbakoba, the meeting gave him an opportunity to intimate the former President on the progress made so far about the book, particularly on its adoption as a recommended text for secondary schools throughout the West African sub-region. Part of the highlights of the meeting, the author claimed, was getting the former president to know that Terror of War will be officially launched at the Nigerian Embassy in New York in September, and that Seaburn Publishing Group, owners of www.blackbookplus.com is also organizing a book tour for him throughout the United States.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo commended Agbakoba on the thematic design of Terrors of War to be a peace education text, stressing that My command, his own work on the civil war, has been adopted in all the military schools in the country. The author said that he used the occasion of the breakfast meeting to inform Obasanjo that Terrors of War will be launched by the Anambra State Government at Lagoon Restaurant on August 16, 2008.
“The event will be presided over by Anambra state Governor, Mr. Peter Obi, it is also part of activities marking the 75th year anniversary of CKC Old Boys Association Dr. Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), Chief Willie Obiano, Chief Akunne Mbanefo, Dr Tony Eze and Chief Eze Echesie will be honoured at the occasion.” He said.

Agbakoba added that Seaburn Publishers have offered a promotional package for Terror of War having been inspired by the “elegance and spiritual conviction of the book.
